Our UAE Founder

Kyoshi  V.A. Mohamed Iqbal

" To be a complete  Karateka, one  should have patience,  perseverance &  respect for others."

Born in 1958, Iqbal started karate training in 1977 under Sensei P. Kuppusamy of Malaysia - a famous karate master who, at that time, had over 25,000 students. From the very beginning, Iqbal had a liking for karate and a flair for mastering the techniques.

With keen interest, enthusiasm and hard work he always topped the class. Even before he got his black belt, he used to assist his master Kuppusamy in promoting Seibukan karate by conducting classes for those ranked lower than himself.

Sensei V.A. Najeem

" The Only secret  of  traditional karate lies in understanding of the technique, and hard training "

The eldest of the three brothers who brought Shorin-ryu Seibukan to the UAE, Sensei Najeem was the first of them to enroll for Karate classes. Soon after that, he realised the benefits this wonderful art would offer to his younger brothers Jaleel and Iqbal.

Very few people know of Sensei Najeem as a qualified lawyer. Well, black and white has been the story of his life. But not in law. So influential was Karate in his life that he gave up his white clothes and black lawyers’ gown and chose to spend his life wearing the white GI and black belt.

Alongside his brothers, Sensei Najeem continues to impart his knowledge and wisdom upon his students, and maintains his own training. Together, him and his brothers have travelled far and wide to continuously better themselves. With them, he has travelled to various countries around the world to attend tournaments and training seminars, including:

Sensei V.A.M Jaleel joined Karate with his brothers. For this strong energetic and aggressive youngster , fitting into the karate mould was not very difficult. In spite of the training being gruelling beyond imagination and a real challenge physically and mentally, this man never learned to quit.

Overcoming every challenge life had to offer, this man tasted success through Karate, and was brought to the UAE by his brother, Sensei Iqbal. Over the years, his dedication to his training and his students has been consistently incremental.

Along with his brothers, Sensei Jaleel spends at least a few days a year updating his skill-set and perfecting his form under the supervision of higher-ranking Senseis.  Apart from the UAE, he has also trained in:
